Do you think everything is too dark? I'm going to move the sideboard to go under tv and thinking of getting 2 bookcases to go on left wall. What do you think? What do you mean by moving tv to the left more? It's mounted to the wall. I like the rug I have now but it's already so dirty! Dog and messy husband lol

the rug on the left, is not too dark, and plays to all the things you said you liked. i think it would be great. i love the book case, but you need a purpose for that side of the room. thats why i want you to move the couch over if you plan to put the console on the tv side, its going to become a heavy space, and also the TV will not be centered to the console will it? i would then put those shelves on the wall where the tv is now.

I would consider a beni ourain style rug. You can find at various price points - I think target had or did have a version. It would fit with your bohemian modern vibe and add some lightness while still being forgiving (I have an off white shag rug with 2 kids and a dog and I let anyone wear shoes in the house - it is fine). I think your last three choices are dark with the couch. Too bad about your current rug because I do think that.

I think that maybe the chair is too big?? I just took the measurements of one of the chairs I liked. Do you think viewing the tv from that angle will be to weird?
My husband mounted the tv on the wall already so it would be easier to leave it as is but I could make him change it lol

Sonia, you thought about adding a little color a statement art piece? The accent walls dont make it necessary but it could add nice complimentary color and give you a nice conversation piece. Here is one that could work.
