I have a large banksy print which i will show you ontop of my sofa but i think it looks too bold?? The dining room next door is more french classic, i dont want it too look try too hard mess. what do u think? help!!

If you get a wood dining table I would get one with a grey wash finish,such as RH has.

Hang the art lower and prefer to keep it vertically stuck to the wall and not lean forward. Prefer light coloured cushion covers with sea theme. The trunk seems out of place from the sofa. Can place a light in the corner beside sofa.

Pottery barn has several rugs that would look great in your space.

What colour armchair would you buy? a lighter shade of grey? or beige?

Something neutral definitely, why don't you get the rug first and then consider which way to go with the chair, you may end up wanting a pop of color,sorry if I ended up confusing you more.

@pgteach, agree with a neutral colour.. Im just not sure on that painting though, i see it too bold.

I'm not sure why but something about the coffee table seems off to me - maybe the colour or the proportion? Perhaps with a rug it will all pull together.

Would you scrap the painting and put damask wall paper instead?

No wall paper yet , it will get confusing! I like the mix you have going I'd just be sure to use the white modern pieces throughout to ground and tie the theme together, then get eclectic with the rest. I'd do a pedestal based swivel chair in orange to complement the artwork and then look for a rug with all those colors. The truck is great maybe as a coffee table or a TV stand or even with that mirror over it. Good luck!
