Need final touches on kitchen remodel

We just finished a remodel of our kitchen. Now I need advice on what to put on the island and what to put into the glass cabinets at top. I like simple and clean. Thanks!

Beautiful kitchen! I love that your countertop on the breakfast bar is different than the counters around the perimeter of the kitchen! I wouldn't change a thing. I like the wall color; the room feels clean and crisp.You have done a wonderful job with lighting-chandeliers work beautifully in your space. I also love your table and chairs and wouldn't change the cushions. I can understand if you wanted to add an area rug under the table. It doesn't need one, but a rug will define the space. I always like rugs underneath tables-it's a personal preference, though.

Also do I need a rug under the kitchen nook table and should I get new dining chairs? Louis square back chairs?

I love your kitchen. I wouldn't bother with a rug under the kitchen table, your floors are gorgeous. I does need a pop of color though. You could change the wall color and use the cushions on the dining chairs and possibly the bar stools to bring in an accent color.

You're kitchen is great! For the upper cabinets, I would find some items to mimic the shine of those beautiful lights. Also maybe a few glass pieces if you want to add color. Good luck! :)

Your kitchen is beautiful. I agree with the suggestions about wall color and I agree with you about the chairs...maybe with some patterned fabric ...

Since you like a clean look, I would just add something simple on the island/breakfast bar like a vase with flowers or an orchid.

Your kitchen looks sooo nice. Classy and serene. I noticed you have a buffet and hutch in the same area. Do you have a collection of china or something else that you have started ? Maybe you could use pieces from that for in your uppers or even pull in some colours from those pieces. I think a simple fruit bowl on your counter would look nice and not clutter your area.

Just beautiful! I'd put absolutely nothing on the island and I would get new square back chairs for the dining table. As far as a rug, it would need to be 4' wider and 4' longer than the table to give the needed 2' on every side (measured with leaves in the table if that pertains). Would that interfere with pulling out the stools at the island. If so, I'd skip the rug because the table needs to remain centered under the light. Really great job!!!!
