Front Courtyard Ideas

Need some ideas to transform our front courtyard.

It connects to our Dining room, Guest Room and Entrance Hall Way.

Budget is around $1000.

Would like something beach modern; with some seating for coffee, breakfast. Wall Art, planters etc. Want minimal management.

It gets afternoon Sun sunshine - approximately 3-4 hours

I would paint a beach mural on the smooth walls, bring in some bright-colored comfortable seating and some potted palms if they will survive the climate (you don't say where this house is)

You need some umbrellas for shade - so make the seating an unbrella table - and a couple of faux solar tiki torches

Then mix a piña colada, sit there and relax.

Maybe some teak or redwood furniture to work with the fence/gates and create an outdoor living room with a tabletop firepit?

For low maintenance ideas, pvc patio furniture...i hear that teak furniture is also good for outside. I would put potted plants on patio. They look good and can be easily moved around. Pathos works good for us for it like totally self-sufficient.Bring it in the winter time though. Does well in ambient light

Can you take more pictures of the actual inside of the courtyard? It's hard to tell, if there are more doors within the courtyard which might influence furniture placement.

How about this no-rot Adirondack-style dining set from Canada? Throw a couple sunbrella cushions on it for comfort, maybe plant one of those wall planters on that long wall right of the gate, and maybe some lights on stringers, or lanterns?

Add another lantern by the door, some greenery will give the court yard a more welcoming feel too, either in pots or directly

planted like in this picture , a small water feature on the wall and some seating ,like a bench would complete it .

Hi

Your courtyard tiling is classic laid French pattern, plus you have European style wall lanterns, why not develop a French café flavour with wrought iron chairs, tiled top table , and umbrella with a wicker sun couch. Add a couple of longish planter troughs with mixed small shubbery and bright coloured flowers and you have a small intimate courtyard typical of the secret courtyards found all around older areas of central Paris or Cannes.
