Hi Jason, what finish you use with the paint for the cabinets. I'm looking for that oily heavier look that these cabinets seem to have. Thank you so much!

That would definitely be a question for a cabinet maker. I do know we used a satin finish to keep them from being too shiny.

@Pamela Hoffman - these are cream color subway tiles with a crackle glaze.

These tiles are made by a company called Dirk Elliot ( http://www.dettile.com/). See if they have a distributor in your area - I bet they do. The circle tiles are by a company called Mercury Mosaics.

Is there a similar paint color in Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore--my painters prefer these brands. LOVE this, beautiful work. Thanks, Ashley

Hi Ashely - thanks for the compliments. My best recommendation is to get a paint chip of the Behr color and then match it to a SW or BM color that will work for your space. Choosing paint colors off the computer is very difficult (if not impossible). Have fun!

Love the color of the cabinets. We just bought a older home (1951) with punk brown cabinets. We need to wait 2 years to gut the kitchen for a complete remodel... So thankful to find this kitchen on houzz. Plan to start on the cabinets with this color to "tie me over" until the big redo! Will try to remember to post before and after pics.
