Kitchen Faucet Help!

We are doing some kitchen renovations in our small condo which include replacing the sink and faucet. We like the Blanco Precis 1.75 (basically at 60/40) in Silgranit Volcano Grey and are in love with their brand new Luneoo Faucet. I have scoured the internet and can’t for the life of me find a video of that faucet in operation with water (the North American version because the European one is different). Is there anyone out there in Houzz-land with the Blanco Luneoo Faucet?

Try to find a kitchen remodeling place in your neighborhood. Sometimes they have mock up kitchens with working faucets. Seeing how they operate, in real life with real water, can help you make a decision.

We’ve already done that and there is only 1 place in all of BC that has that faucet on display and it’s not hooked up. ☹️ How’s that for annoying 😂

Showrooms never connect to a water source.: )

When you buy primarily to look over real life convenience as you are? You get what you get. Style......perhaps with some companion irritants.

Example? The sink with tight radius begging to show every scrap of egg trapped in a corner , The dark of that sink ,,,,versus the gleam of stainless. Even the ( opinion ) less than convenient , not as stylish 60/40 split.

The faucet? A lot of bells and whistles.....Take your chances on the most touched/used item in any kitchen.

"Sculptural Look: Reviewers and product overviews highlight its slender, cylindrical silhouette modeled after contemporary lighting, making it a striking centerpiece for modern kitchens and open-concept islands. [1, 2]

    • Finish Options: Available in premium finishes like Brushed / Stainless Steel, Satin Platinum, Satin Dark Steel, Satin Gold, and Matte Black. [1, 2]

    Performance & Features

    • Separate Electronic Dial: The counter-mounted electronic control can be positioned anywhere around the sink to provide smooth, precise adjustments for water volume and temperature. [1, 2]
    • Dual-Spray Functionality: Offers a 360° swivel spout paired with a pull-down dual-spray head (powerful pre-rinse spray and clear laminar stream) secured by a clean magnetic docking arm. [1, 2, 3]

    Considerations & Installation

    • Power Requirements: Operates on an electrical connection (110V to 240V) for the digital control dial, though it thoughtfully includes a battery backup unit in case of power loss. [1]
    • Investment Level: Positioned firmly in the luxury tier, with retail pricing typically hovering around $1,500+ depending on the specific finish and configuration. [1]

The power requirements wold be a no deal for me. No access to water during an extended power outage? Function over style every time.

Jan Moyer - Thank you for the unsolicited lecture, although I’m not entirely sure why a straightforward question about a faucet required one.

For the record, my question was specifically if anyone has the faucet so I could view the flow, find out if the Luneoo has an aerated or laminar water flow, and whether anyone had experience with how it performs in actual use. I’ve since obtained the answer directly from a Blanco sales representative. The faucet has a laminar flow, which was precisely the information I was looking for.

Your assertion that showrooms never connect faucets to a water source is also incorrect. There is a local company with half a dozen faucets connected and available for customers to operate and assess for themselves.

As for my choice of sink, I’m quite aware that the dark grey BLANCO Precis sink has tight corners. I’m also capable of weighing the advantages and disadvantages of a sink without needing someone to explain my own purchasing decisions to me. Not everyone shares your preferences for stainless steel and that’s perfectly fine.

What I find particularly unhelpful is the assumption that asking a question about a product somehow demonstrates that someone hasn’t considered the implications of buying it. In fact, asking questions before making a purchase is generally a rather sensible thing to do.

There is a considerable difference between sharing useful experience and delivering a condescending lecture about someone else’s choices. The former is helpful; the latter adds very little to the discussion. In future, you might consider that a question asked in good faith deserves an answer in good faith, rather than an opportunity to demonstrate how much you think you know.

A simple, courteous answer to the question I actually asked would have sufficed.

Valinta - Soooo I gather by your answer you don’t have that faucet and you just wanted to chime in with an unhelpful comment? Honestly - if you had read the info about the faucet you would see that it comes with a battery pack in case of power outage. If you can’t help, please keep scrolling.

    ^^^ I'll like that a hundred times.

You are on the internet. You will get opinion , asked, or unasked. You don't ever know what is acceptable to another homeowner and whether it applies to you, your home.

Needing a back up battery for something as simple as running water in a power failure?! , and paying 1500.00 to have that inconvenience for the love of looks?

My advice to you is same as any client, live, up close and personal. : ) It's a faucet for looks. One of many many many others, just as stylish.

I can't weigh in on that particular faucet but ours has power attached and it is not a problem. We rarely get power outages and there is a battery backup as well as a manual override. You know, to make us turn the faucet on by hand.

There are a handful of YouTubes about this faucet. I am assuming you have looked at those and they do not show one functioning?

My two cents worth that you didn't ask for--the control off to the side looks inconvenient (says the lady used to waving her hand to turn on water) but the faucet is a looker, that's for sure.

RNmomof2 - thanks and yes I’ve watched every single you tube, instagram, TikTok out there. Read all the manuals and specs. 🙄 We did research the on/off control which you can place anywhere (beside the tap makes the most sense to me). It has a sensor so a very light finger tap turns it on.

@ Jan Moyer …. the nerve ! condescending, how dare you ! 😂 just kidding. Just a thought, perhaps someone else should ”keep scrolling”. wow…..

Jan Moyer - I’m perfectly aware that people on the internet have opinions. I’m also aware that there’s a difference between offering a relevant opinion and repeatedly dispensing unsolicited advice in a tone that suggests the other person needs educating.

I asked a straightforward question about anyone owning this faucet. I didn’t ask for a critique of my sink, my priorities, my budget or my ability to make purchasing decisions.

Houzz exists precisely so homeowners can exchange information and experiences to help one another make informed choices. Asking whether someone has experience with a particular faucet seems entirely in keeping with that purpose.

And just to clarify, I’m not your client, and I haven’t appointed you as my consultant.

I’ve obtained the information I needed directly from Blanco. I’ll take it from here, thanks.

I don’t know if this detail is relevant, nor what the composition of that hose is, but with respect to commercial faucets that have have a spray head attached to a flexible hose, it was the hose that frequently sprung a leak and failed (spraying water everywhere)

Yes it is one of many features, which includes Pros. Read the history, see where the photos come from.. It's the internet, still. Threads veer, some go on for years far from original topic, Some folks become "no real name " pen pals". Advice will be that you solicited and that which you did not. Often, it is what we didn't ask for that becomes quite valuable.

FWIW we bought unusual expensive kitchen faucets (we have a huge sink/2 faucet set up) - it is a little nerve wracking because the seperate joystick is an unusual size and (the drilled counter hole) will be a limiter down the road when we need to replace them - I ended up buying two more of them as back ups so I didn't get caught - still love them but the installation makes them complicated (esp in a quartzite counter) -

eta i bought the backups off ebay because the faucets were discontinued not because I wanted to spend that money 😅 - (I feel like complicated faucets often cycle in and out) - if I had to do it it again, I'd go simpler but that's just me

IMHO if there is only one outlet in BC there is no way I would decide on that faucet and deal with holes drilled for no purpose that even makes sense. Pretty sure anyone can adjust temp as it has always been done . I at least would agree with la-la to buy 2 if you have no other thing to spend money on . Honestly a kitchen is all about function first so do what you want and adjust your attitude if you truly want actual help.

To those who oppose other information being provided...

This site is a place to come for free help. Yes, you may have and only want "specific" information. However, most of the people here (at least those who have been around for years) will expand on that b/c there are many cases when there are other issues the poster doesn't realize they have or that their choices may have. The goal here is to give the best advice, even if it means going "off topic" (or what the poster thinks is off topic). As the "New to Kitchens? Read Me First!" thread says:

When asking questions (e.g., asking for layout help), please keep in mind that everyone here is trying to help, not criticize maliciously. Some of us can be blunt, but no one is out to deliberately insult or hurt anyone. When your kitchen is done, we want you to have a kitchen that functions wonderfully well and looks nice overall -- but the process will take time and may entail comments that many times you won't want to hear (e.g., when a layout is dysfunctional). We strongly recommend you "keep listening" to what others have to say but, in the end, you don't have to take any advice given here. It's your kitchen and you are the one who will make the final decisions!

Geeze, even if I knew everything about this faucet, I wouldn't answer now. I teach teenagers, and I don't need more attitude in my life.

This is the kind of board that's going to give you a good, complete answer. Very often questioners don't know what they don't know, and none of us know what kind of research you've done.

The right answer is, Thank you.
