How to address this slope

in the process of finishing my shower, we had to make a design change that revealed this slope. Does anyone have a suggestion on how or if I could address this. I thought of placing the shower for flush in front of the step with a frosted bottom 6 inches. Would this work, even if I had dark grout on the floor?
