Can I see a photograph of this piece from the back? I'm wondering about removing the back wall of the interior space, for use as a media cabinet rather than a bar.

If they can remove the backing from that internal cabinet (and have it looking okay) and also remove the sliding glass panes (which I assume they can, if for no other reason that packing/shipping), I'll almost certainly take it.

Hi Jack, Thanks for your continued interest in this wonderful piece! My representative at the manufacturer has sent a photo of the back of the bar. The manufacturer won't be able to make any changes to the piece - it would be sold as is. However, a furniture restoration expert in your area would certainly be able to cut a panel in the back to accommodate your media components. The manufacturer also says the sliding glass doors are not meant to come out, but again, a furniture restoration expert could certainly remove them for you.
