We just moved into a house that has dark hardwood floors (Jacobean satin stain) in the front part of the house and like a reddish laminate in the back part of the house (an addition from a few years back) both floors are separated by the kitchen. We are renovating the kitchen and I need help choosing a tile for the kitchen that goes with both of them since it's not in our budget to change the flooring throughout the house. Since we will be having dark cabinets I was thinking we should go lighter on the floor. I want something that will be easy to clean as well. Any suggestions or advice??
