We thought about doing a table but in the past we never end up using the space. So in this house we decided against going with a dining room area. Also the fireplace area in directly in front of my kitchen, the sofa would block the pathway from back door. I'm attaching a pic

We tried the dark sectional around the fire place area but it looked too big for the space and we felt like we were sitting too close to the fireplace.....

We're trying to keep the space as open as possible..... Maybe I'm expecting too much from this space!

Can you do photos of wall on right side of apartment?

I think the first chandelier would look good in the narrow space as I guess it is not as long as the 2nd chandelier... looks interesting .

Also I feel instead of breaking the space in 2 section make it look as one space .
If you are keeping your brown sectional sofa, change it position so that the window can be viewed without any obstruction...u can add little bit of pots n plants near the corner.

Those 2 big chair around the fireplace can be replace with something small size furniture ...may be a bench or puffs...or move them near window. Removing the carpet /rug around the fireplace also will make a difference...they acquire more floor space and you room looks narrow than it is...instead go for circular rug/carpet and place small size furniture like stools or small ottomans/

The smaller the furniture less visual obstruction it will create...chose furniture which is raised from floor a bit.

As most of the existing colors are brown , I would suggest to add bit of colors by adding furniture like stools or small ottoman ..tht will serve both function, uplift the space bit and you can enjoy sitting around fire place too with friends.

You know near your kitchen at that wall with counter you could put one of those tables that attach to the wall with two small chairs for eating that wouldnt take up too much dpace.

The room is really lovely with the pale gray walls and high ceilings. The fireplace wall is stunning with the beautiful floor to ceiling tile and gas log. The problems start with the furniture. Too many sofas, scale too large and too much leather. With such a great room, it would be worthwhile to hire an interior designer to help you pick out new scaled down pieces in beautiful colors and fabrics. One thing, do paint that large cream colored grate the same color as the wall.

We are getting rid of the green leather couch, the ottoman and the rug in front of the fireplace. We recently moved and just lugged these things along with us. We also have 2 little boys, so the carpet in front of the fireplace is saving thr floor for now! My sectional is a dark grey leather and the 2 chairs are dark grey velour.... I really like the idea of having smaller furniture. My colour scheme is grey orange black and silver... I'll play around with it and update the post with pics :)

Too many color you have....don't forget the brown leather sofa also , I would suggest instead of grey opt for some complementary color with orange ...like shades of blue(torques blue is refreshing color & can goes well with your orange and brown .
