It does seem a little high. Lower it by two inches. Try placing your light on a pedestal to give it height and so the glow casts light on the face of the clock - even an organized pile of books might be a solution. Group the candle and the other accessories together on the opposite side of the table top. Try a seasonal, natural/organic element in the center. Play around but definitely lower the clock. Good for you for questioning the height of your wall direction. It's hard to get it right on the first try and even harder to rehang it BUT absolutely worth your efforts.

I will be adding curtains of some sort. Just not sure what yet. I love all the suggestions. I agree it needs lowered a couple inches or so. My husband is not thrilled with putting another anchor hole in the wall and filling and fixing what is there. Yes it is so hard judging space when hanging something that big as well as round. I was so concerned about it being too low I eyeballed it and had him hang too high. I will post pictures of the whole room in a little while. Thank you all so much for your help!

Is the clock hung off a wire? If so, loosen the tautness of the wire so the clock drops further down. Or - increase the size of the objects on your table top so they extend from the top into the view of the clock. Happy Holidays!

im wondering if the clock isn't too big, especially when you add curtain panels. i would think about that before making more holes lol.

I tried taking pictures of the whole room so you can see it. The sun was too bright and now I am getting too much glare with lighting. I will take some in the morning so you can see. Also, I would appreciate other ideas as well as if you think panels will be good when you see all the windows in the room too. Thanks so much!

Rcs fine art it is not from a wire and unfortunately the hook is near the top of the clock. Therefore, it would require patching with even a few inches. My husband will do it but does not like patching holes... Lol! I am sharing your alls comments with him. He is 6 foot 5 do it looks like a good height to him of course but he is open to suggestions. He just wants me to be sure before we do anything

Flair Lighting's picture with the taller lamp may be your easiest solution to execute. Patching and then painting a hole is frustrating.
Totally understand why your husband placed it where he did now that I know his height.
Hanging art takes a lot more time and thinking then people expect.

Don't move it till you finish hanging curtains, get a bigger lamp, and get bigger accessories. These things will dictate where the clock should be and I think it's perfect.

OVERVIEW: The drapes are too busy and draw your attention to them, not your vignette. Your clock is not only too high, it is too large for the space and looks too heavy above your chest. That or your chest is too small. Your accessories are too small. However, that is only the beginning, the good news is, they are wonderful in a fun eclectic style and all the negatives are easily fixed.
DRAPES: How to fix it all without more nail holes: be very careful about your drapes. These have glaring huge white stripes that are attention grabbing, Better would be either a subtle print, a tone on tone stripe that size, a very small stripe or a solid color would work. Unless you have a lot of white in the room, I would forget anything with much white in it.
CLOCK: leave it where it is
ACCESSORIES: a large tall bowl full of fresh fruit/flowers or basket filled with needlework or an artistic bowl or large statue - whatever reflects an interest of yours. It must be tall enough to overlap the edge of the mirror to tie it all together. It could be propped on a stack of hardback books - huge coffee table books are wonderful for this.
LAMPS: flanking the centerpiece and about the height of the one you have, but more slender. The left lamp picture would be OK, but I would prefer a very simple one, because the clock is already so fancy. The whole goal is to show off the clock and avoid detracting from it.
CHEST & PLANT: Trick the eye and seemingly bulk up the chest even more. Whether or not you hang drapes, put a healthy plant, about a couple of inches taller than the chest, on one side of it. Keep it trimmed, so it doesn't outgrow its space and look rangey.
CHAIR: Place a medium size chair, on the other side, at an angle for a more relaxed and interesting appearance. Make it one that you can easily pull into your conversation grouping for extra seating.
MORE: Lay a book and a pair of glasses on the chair corner, even a coffee cup or mug. Make it look comfy, inviting and lived in.

Thank you janrose. Right now I do not have any curtains in the room. Someone posted the image to give me an idea of what it could look like. I agree about the accessories. We are in a new home and I just put what I have until I purchase new items. When it is light put I will take a picture of the whole space for suggestions. That will give a better feel of the space. the clock is too big, and over powering for the space, honestly it needs a grand wall. furniture looks dwarfed around it. i think this is why you had trouble with the placement, because of the placement....also you have so many lights already in this small area, im not sure another lamp is the answer for the console. maybe a plate display, with something simple on the table top, or a family photo and some candle sticks. Lastly the light that is over the sitting area? these are all things i just noticed. i think you have a good start going here, and lovely home. i wouldnt do much for window treatments, seems like its privat. i might do a different color blind.

The light in the sitting area is actually a small fan with a light too. I am hoping to get better pictures too. Thanks for your suggestions!

i know the fan combo well. it just looks out of place, i might have done all satin nickle to keep in light. the idea is great ! just kind of stuck to the cieling amongst the other lights. would you consider changing the lighting?

I thought about attaching a down rod and lowering it but the builder talked me out of it. I still could though and have my husband do it.

I think it's perfect. Especially if you will be adding window treatments.

The clock size seems fine. I would not move it for 2". I agree, place at least one taller item on the table, perhaps a taller lamp. On the left place some easy to purchase old books maybe 3-5 which can also add a little variety. I would use very subtle curtains. Nothing too loud as it would take away from the clock which seems to be your conversation piece in the room.
