I the old days we didn't have dishwashers, so we had 2 sinks. Wash and rinse. Now with a dishwasher you only need 1 sink, but a large one.

In my busy kitchen, both sinks provide double-duty for multiple prep and clean up jobs as I cook. I need more than one sink. Think about how you use your double sinks now and which choice is going to be the best for you.

Thanks very much for your thoughts. I think what I'm really questioning now is the idea of a "zero radius" rectangular sink instead of the traditional rounded edges... no mater weather it's split or not. Design wise will it mater? I'm a traditional girl at heart but i don't want my new kitchen to look like grandma's and i don't want it to look like a big mixed up mess either. ;) thanks again!!

Don't get zero radio us, too hard to clean! If you want that squared look, they make one with a very tight radius that you can actually wipe with a sponge!

Single bowl is great, oven racks and cookie sheets...
