None of the above. Buy whichever privacy film you prefer at any big box store. Looks and works great when applied and selected properly. Would certainly try the easy $50 fix first. Then again. I am old and cheap.

Is there another house super close to yours, or are you just worried about imagined lurkers in the night? Maybe the solution is to work some more lights into your landscape so that it doesn't feel like a looming blackness out there -- even just a row of small lights along the path or bushes can make the yard feel much more civilized. Otherwise, I'm with the privacy film before I'd start wrecking my front entry...

How about strategically placed (tall) plants? Keep the bedroom door closed?

I do like the plant idea ... If I can keep my 3 cats out of the dirt!

I had a friend replace the glass in her sidelight with a textured glass , with a leaf design it looked awesome! There are many glass designs available.
