The "tophat" dormer would have to be demo'd for me to love this facade. It is like a big mushroom popping out of the nice hip roof. Is there room in the foyer to double the door so it can counterbalance the tophat somewhat? They do these in the Caribbean but the proportions here are off. Removal of the pincushion shrubs and new landscaping is a must. How are the windows - replacement would be top of my list too. If the shutters aren't functional that's a problem. You might be able to modify somewhat and get a bit of this look.

extending the roof to a walk around as shown above and going to two narrow windows with shutters would bring the dormer back into scale. I would consider narrow awing windows to meet egress or even one 36" awing window with a shutter on each side. The larger glass area being broken up by a center mullion.

As to curb appeal what is your preference-do you want a low maintenance one, are you willing to get rid of some of the lawn, what kind of setting is the house in -suburban, city, rural, etc. Can you make a longer shot showing driveway, paths, etc. ? And finally, what garden zone are you in ?
