By fun, what style do you want? Were you thinking pendant? There are recessed that accept a pendant conversion kit. So, you could change it up if you want. :)

What's a pendant conversion kit? There will be bookshelves on the wall above the desk..Would a pendant work with the shelves? By fun I mean, maybe something to carry out the stainless and maybe sculptural..?

It actually looks like a regular pendant, but behind the ceiling cover is an attached end similar/exact to the light bulb end that you screw into your recessed fixture. Just a thought. :) Shelves? Not thinking pendant will work then. If I hunt around and find an interesting ceiling fixture, I'll drop it off. :)
