Can you post a photo of the bathroom with the door open? What is the size of the bathroom? My first inclination (although maybe more than you would like to do) is to see if there is enough room for a pocket door to give you room and other sink options.

We can't do a pocket door since the wall ends and the other side is support. We did find a long narrow sink that gives 8cm between the door and the sink. It's 22cm by 46cm. We will probably go with that. It's hard to take a picture since the house is still being built. I can get one on Wednesday.
The measurements are 100cm by 160cm. We have a hanging toilet. The question now it's what faucet should we get. Since its still compact I don't want fixtures in my face while on the toilet. Also, where does the towel go?

Sounds like an error by the architect. Task him to come up with code compliant solutions.
