The backsplash is an iridescent milk glass tile in a basketweave pattern. It was purchased online from Susan Jablon Mosaics (www.susanjablon.com). I no longer see this exact tile on their website, but they have several similar options.

what color grout did you use??
I have this same milk tile but in an oval pattern...this actually looks more like the oval that I have than the subway tile. Both are SO pretty!! can't wait to get mine up but stumped on the grout. thank you.

Hi arbo, the grout is TEC AccuColor Standard White Sanded Grout, http://www.susanjablon.com/tec-accucolor-standard-white-sanded-grout-9-75lb.html. And this is a curved subway tile, so it actually has a curved surface sticking out from the wall unlike a traditional subway - probably why it looks like ovals! When you have your tile installed we'd love to see photos! Milk glass is beautiful!

Was the wall behind the tile painted in the grey owl first or is it just placed on basic white? If I'm not mistaken the grout looks gray? Susan does the Tec AccuColor Standard White take on a gray look?
