From the little I can see in the closeups, the room looks lovely. But it's hard to suggest how to pull it all together when we can't see the big picture. Can you give us some wider shots? Hard to see how a room works when we can't even see a whole wall.

It might be difficult to choose an additional accent color, especially a bright tone because you already have quite a few colors; wood tones, grey blue, sand, pale chartreuse and white in your room. The green in your comforter may work in a brighter shade as a nod to beach grasses. I think coral would be pretty with the blue, but your comforter may be limiting your choices. Here are some framed prints that add a bit of orange and some pillows.

Mary Ann I love the idea of a round mirror similar to the one in the link you included. I am not at all happy with the pic over the bed. What color frame would you use for the mirror with my wood finish? The area over the dresser/media center definitely still needs attention. I think moving the painting there is an excellent place to start! Retro earth thank you! I have several walls without accents on them. Additionally I feel the room needs something more to pull it all together. The paint color is Valspar Faded Denim.

I actually think the bedding and the unframed picture/print above the bed are what really pull the room together. Anything overtly beachy will take away from the more sophisticated resort look you've put together. You already have the shell initials, which add a personal touch of whimsy, anything more may bring you into kitsch.

Love the idea of another accent color..chartreuse or coral!

I love the painting; I don't love it over the bed. I'm not sure it goes over the dresser since it's in a corner and is already completely styled, but it does belong somewhere else in the room, perhaps on one of those walls without accents. BTW, not every wall needs an accent. It's OK, even desirable, not to fill every space.

I would put nothing over the bed, not art, not a mirror, nothing. The headboard and posts are busy enough. And I would keep the bedding. It sets the style for the room.

I think the nightstands are a bit busy too. I would remove the letters on the walls and probably get taller and slightly more imposing lamps. Then I think your room is finished. Beautifully finished.

I definitely do not want to go kitschy retro earth! Are the letters all you would remove from the nightstands groveraxle? The idea of nothing over the bed has never occurred to me. I think it is a definite possibility though. I do love Mary Ann 's suggestion of a mirror over the bed too. You all are great! Thank you for sharing your ideas. I desperately need help with the media chest wall too!

I was looking closer at your comforter and it has pale green in it?? Pretty. if you can't replace the TV stand with something else like antique. I would paint it...either black or white and replace the knobs on it to go with that. It really looks too modern for the rest of the room. Also doing art next to the tv could take your eye away from the technology. Do you have anything on the walls on either side? What does that whole wall look like?

Mary Ann I don't really want to paint the media chest. It was fairly expensive and goes with the other pieces. I would consider looking for a different piece and using the media chest elsewhere in my home. There is not a lot of space between it and the taller chest.

Those are better pictures! It now looks like the tv stand matches your dresser and bed. I would leave it alone. And you have something above to distract the eye. Perfect. Did you move it around? One picture has something above the tv and another it is blank.

What's the curly-Q metal looking piece above the TV? I see it in some of the pictures but not others.

Mary Ann and retroearth I had it hanging in some of the pics and removed it also to allow a better look at the wall. I don't really like it and would love to find a better alternative.
