The fence supports look solid but are located on the wrong side. I would leave them as is bc they look solid but give a quasi header to hide the bolts

Yours is a much better idea but not in the budget. I'm thinking of adding trim around the fence sections and a facade along the lower edge. Any suggestions?

HI -- The cheapest fix would be to paint everything one color . Having that fence white is just highlighting it . You could add a trim board to the front top to take away the open slots and make it look a little more finished . Maybe in the future when you have the budget for something new then a nice metal and frosted glass fence would be and look better.

would garage doors be to much to ask, is this a rental property? i mean bam would be a great safety and curb appeal update. i would replace the rail with a lattice enclosed one, I like the blue and white just needs fresh.

Yes, I just purchased this rental property, 3 units. I plan on selling in a few months after a some minimum improvements. You don't want to see what is on the deck from the street. The rest of the exterior is also in need of help although the paint is fairly new. I appreciate all your suggestions.

Definitely get some new colors on there... something lighter below with a darker shade of the same color above. I would imagine if you were on the deck you wouldn't want to see out to the street, so solid makes sense....add a series of small horizontal trims in between the columns to give it a more horizontal expression across the top. Garage doors would be nice...a cheaper alternative would be to create a large barn door that can slide back and forth across the front.... you could frame it easy and use any kind of lumber as horizontals....possibly gap them a little. You can get the hardware from a local hardware store... attached image is of interior. hopefully you get the idea....you could use reclaimed wood / painted / new
