Could you take more photos of the other walls/corners of the room? My feeling is that the sofa and love seat would be best across from one another. Can the sofa be moved across fem the love seat?

Cute baby !! In my opinion you need something to tie the two sofas together - like one type of cushion on both sofas - so there's a link ! Say for example - burnt orange silk cushion on both sofas and a burnt orange throw folded up under the table would pull all three items together ... White could work too instead of orange - although less practical with little ones !!!

I don't think these pieces are going to work together. To start with, you have at least 5 clashing shades of brown/tan, with varying undertones of pink, green, and yellow. The furniture styles also do not relate to one another. The light sofa, with tufting and rolled arms, is very traditional, and the dark one has very modern lines with flared arms. The table is almost rustic in simplicity. See? Like one plan said, something about them needs to match and relate...either color or shape and style. I'd return one sofa, if you can, and get the matching one. Then I'd paint or stain the coffee table darker. Sorry to be blunt! Good luck. Your house looks beautiful and new...it deserves better furnishings!

agree with mick50, there are too many shades of brown/beige, and too many styles. a simple shaker table, a traditional roll arm and a modern flare. the undertones are all different too, including the rug. if you can return one of the sofa do so and get a matching sofa, also return the coffee table. which one of the sofas is your favorite?

If you had to style your entire home in the flavor of one of those sofas, which way would you go - traditional or modern? Once that decision has been made, replace the sofa that does not fit the bill with pair of armchairs, and purchase new coffee table that works with the remaining sofa.

When I purchase furnitures, I always pick the one I like . I never really think about if they work together or not . Thank you for all the advices. I will try to use burnt orange color to tie them together first . Should I go with a heavier feeling coffee table? I also need some end tables . Really really love these sofa and love seats ! Hopefully I don't have to replace any of them . I guess I can always move one to the great room if it still feels wrong after the changes . Thank you again !

Don't change the couches! I personally love the mismatched sofa trend. It can be done very well. I think you just need some unifying pillows, accessories and curtains to pull the look together. I also like the coffee table, it compliments your floor very well and the rustic simplicity contrasts your tufted sofa beautifully. I like the eclectic, collected, lived in overtime decor vibe. I'm not a great fan of using mismatched sofas in a room, but I have seen it beautifully done. I guess it is similar to the trend of using 2 different countertops in a kitchen (which I did in my own kitchen, and it was extremely difficult tying all the elements together) The above article posted by robyfly03 will help. After looking at several pictures with mismatched sofas, I feel like you need to find a way to tie the 2 styles and colored sofas together....maybe using an area rug with both colors, pillows, or even art. to pull these things together you need to get a rug with many colors and shapes. an orintal rug is ideal as it will have many colors and tones and will work hard to bring colors and shapes together. this are some options. all from overstock, all 10x14 or 10x12

Then, next step, a coffee table that works. it needs to be round or oval because both your sofas have curves, plus you have a small kid. it will be more pleasing to the eye. all of these from wayfair

If you're willing to change the rug, that would be the easiest way to tie the pieces together. Avoid blues and greens. Look for rugs that will marry the pink undertones with the dark sofa.

I really like your home and the dark sofa. I would change the light sofa into the same dark sofa style to make it look even. Other than that, your home looks great.
