Need MAJOR help choosing flooring for bedroom.

My husband and I ripped out the rugs in our bedrooms in favor of installing engineered hardwood. Now are problem is selecting the floor. My husband has made a choice that I think is too matchy-matchy with the color of all of our cabinets.

I have selected a more weathered piece that is very different from what we have. Our bedroom right now is a dark slate color from Restoration Hardware and I would appreciate if folks could look at all the photos and poll on which one would suit.

As an FYI my husband thinks the choice he has made works better on resale value but I think that we should go with what I love. I have also attached a link (I hope) to something I saw here on Houzz that is the vibe I would like to go for. Also I want a floor that should I decide to repaint our bedroom to a white or lighter "more saleable" beige, would work. Also I am on a deadline because he leaves on business in a week so as much independent feedback I can have would be very helpful to us.

I like the Rustic Hickory. Both floors are great however, I think with the grey walls it becomes too matchy with the Dolphin Terrace. Just my thoughts.

So your choice is Dolphin Terrace? Was a little confused as to which floor you prefer and the one your husband likes. The Dolphin Terrace is gorgeous and would look stunning in the room with the grayish wall colour.

I love the Dolphin Terrace and the example you showed. It would be great with those cabinets because there does seem to be a hint of the cabinet color in that floor choice. I understand kimbers matchy matchy concern with the gray walls because I shy away from the same thing. However I think your gray wall paint color is dark enough and the white trim will help with the nedded contrast. The woods aqnd accessaries used in the other rooms would make a big difference too. How about an accent wall like in the Dolphin Terrace image?

Dolphin Terrace gets my vote. Were in the midst of a new build and have chosen a similar color of grey hardwood. I've had brown hardwood in my home for the last 20 years and am sooooo sick of brown. The grey is very refreshing and looks beautiful with the cream walls in Dolphin Terrace or the grey you chose. That browny/beige combo is getting kinda old' lady for me.
