Obviously, there's a limit to how far the left door will open. In this case, it's adequate since it's a french door configuration. The right door opens completely and the refrigerator is "cased" by the cabinetry which provides just enough distance from the wall so the left door can swing open without feeling like it's constricted by the wall. I wouldn't advise putting a side-by-side in this spot. Some refrigerators come with a door stop so you can limit the swing to protect adjacent walls.
