We are remodeling/sprucing up a very small kitchen. I have picked out the granite, Ice White(pic attached), and the grey tile backsplash.

On the counter with the sink we are getting rid of the bar and extending the granite a little. We want to take off the silver racks on the small wall and cover that wall with the tile backsplash all the way up to the ceiling. Thoughts on this idea?

I can't figure out what kind of tile to put in the kitchen or if we should just extend the light wood floors into the kitchen area. It's such a small space I don't want it to look too busy.
