Pretty sure that's not real... or it was made to be permanent. If you'll notice, the smudges are uniform and do not show the remnants of the previous writing as do normal chalk boards (like the one we have in our kitchen). So I think it's just a cool custom work or wallpaper. It's still cool, though.
