Need to blend that "horrible" shower cannot take it out!

New house ...Master bath with a major problem l am in the process right now of painting the bathroom. I changed the awful colour of the vanity for a light light grey. The main problem is the wall on the left side of the shower. It seems that a light grey looks to bright and makes it even more apparent. I am thinking a charcoal colour but just on that wall and on the wall of the vanity.

How about paint everything that isn't stone the vanity color? Light, bright and cohesive.

I would try to match the gray to the tile, or just a hair darker, which will make it blend in a bit.

There is so many shades in the slate lots of greys and beige to my dismay. I always loved a light colour bathroom. This was the colour of the vanity originally.

Light and bright seems to make the shower even more come out :-( I do not know what they were thinking when they but that in. To me it is obvious a glass shower! The light from the big window is beautiful...it is hard to make it right.

Everything looks correct to me except for the shower stall (looks dark as compared to rest of room). So, in reversing the equation (dilemma) i would make the shower stall tiles so they match the walls and vanity

TRy replacing the recessed light in the shower with a much larger one. The exhaust fan can be replaced by a new model with a light, too. And paint the wooden beams up top of the shower the same light color as the wall or the vanity.

Shower is beautiful as is. Just paint all wood beams the color of the vanity.
