Big wall with fireplace

We just moved into our home and I am struggling with what to do with a large wall with the fireplace and TV in the middle. Suggestions what to put on each side? The side that currently has the sofa table has to have something to accommodate blueray, cable box, etc. Any suggestions or pictures of how to update the fireplace easily and what to put on the mantle would be appreciated as well. Thanks for the help, I'm design challenged.
