Hi, I am after another opinion/ideas on our desk. This is our family/living/TV/entertaining room and it gets used a lot. We are a family of 5, my husband and I and our 3 kids. We have been living here for over a year and the last on the "to do" list is the desk but we can't seem to agree on it, so here I am. My first idea was to go for a white desk, to minimise it's visual impact, but my husband is not keen, our other furniture is colour "oak smoke" and a grey bookcase. He didn't like the "oak smoke" desk that matched, and he doesn't want a minimalist desk with no storage... So basically he's driving me nuts!! I like the liatorp ikea desk, although it's slightly bigger than ours and I was thinking we could get the matching coffee table and side table all in white. Or I do like the hemnes ikea range in black, it looks very chic, but I'm worried that I won't be able to pull off the look. He did like these two desks when I showed him, but I find them very bulky looking. Any thoughts??
