Could this be used on top of existing flooring?

I have tile in my bathroom but I rent so I cannot change the flooring. Wondering how it would work if these were put over the tile. The bottom is plastic so rust wouldn't be an issue, but would it harm the tile?

That would work just fine. The bottom is plastic so it will not harm your existing tile. I am concerned it might be slippery on shiny tile is the only thing.
