My wife and I are in a constant battle over where to place the TV in our new great room addition. She wants to place it on the opposite wall from the fireplace. I totally disagree.

I have proposed a corner, the connecting walls to the fireplace wall and even above the fireplace (although we both recognize some major issues with this.)

She wants to maximize seating. I want to maximize the practicalities of enjoying the TV and the fireplace from the same seating.

Just a point of reference, the addition is approximately 22'x22'. The South Wall will be open to the Kitchen and is not an option.

Please help.
