Presently remodeling our beach bungalow and need your advice on my eat in kitchen. I would like to have an island because I need the extra work space, but as you can see it is a small area. My thought is to have a bench on one side and push the table up to the back of the island. The photos show a simulated 5ft table with little stand as island. I have a piece of furniture I would like to use for my island that is 5 ft long so I would try to find a table 5ft or less. Or, is the space too small for both?
