The only annual vines that I have found that seem to be able to handle wind better than others and were fast-growing with a good coverage, were the scarlet runner bean and hyacinth bean vines.

The usual MFs and MGs seem to shred, wilt, and disintegrate too quickly in wind. I've had cardinal climbers (and their relatives) do the same. Sweet peas (ornamental and/or edible) that I have planted near my windy corner in the past seemed to do okay for a short time, although they have a pretty short lifespan and/or don't like when the hot weather sets in. Plus they can be a nuisance with losing leaves at the bottom.
