Your local garden center will be stocking spring and summer annual seeds before you know it!I think the Lake Valley Seed company carries them.

Michele, unfortunately, the producer of this variety (Pan American Seed) discontinued any new seed production nearly 2 years ago. That's why Park, Burpee, etc. don't have it - they can't get it from the originator. BUT, Pan American did release a new one called 'Titan Lavender Blue Halo" that is nearly identical. Burpee carries this under the name of 'Sun Goddess'.

Well, thanks for the update, I guess I'll have to just try something new, seems I don't have a choice. The color of Blue Pearl was just perfection in my book, wonder if the Titan series you mentioned is the same (BP had no red tone whatsoever, which is why I love it).

Why did the fools discontinue seed production? Blue Pearl was a constant top seller in my area!!

Michele, they dropped the Blue Pearl because their breeders developed a whole series with the same habit as the Blue Pearl, and they included a Blue Pearl color in the new Series - happens all the time. I think that you will find the 'Sun Goddess' to be the exact same color. Select 'Vinca' in the dropdown in the url provided.

Thanks for the info and link. The color does look the same, but the original Blue Pearl didn't have such a large white eye (fussy, fussy, aren't I :p). Well, looks like that is what I'll be trying this year. Thanks again :)
