Long time ago I did copper tooling (embossing) that might work. Basically tracing a pattern so no molds required

That copper embossing looks like it will work, but you might have trouble finding 12" stamps for appliques. I suggest transferring a leaf pattern from an actual large leaf from an overgrown Rhubarb plant or something similar. Your area should have lots of tropical-like plants with large leaves. Otherwise you could take a smaller leaf shape you like and blow it up on a copier or scan it into your computer and manipulate it there.

You could cast a real leaf in concrete or POP and shape your copper on that.

I think you're right, as long as I draw a pattern and cut all the leaves the same, and somehow come up with a way to mold them consistently, it should be doable. I think each leaf has to have enough depth to hold say a quart of water so it will flow properly. As I was typing this, it occurred to me that I could even possibly mold it backwards by using a bowling ball or something :-)

Boxo if you lay a leaf face down over a mound of sand shaped like your upsidedown bowl then cast concrete on the back of the leaf you will get your concave leaf mold.
