I have a girl's writing desk with one drawer across the top and a wire ice-cream parlor chair I want to turn into a planter. I was thinking about pulling the drawers part way out and putting plants in them. This would leave enough space in back on the top to maybe cut holes and put pots in them. Could I put plants directly on the top somehow? I'm also keeping my eyes peeled for clay pots for a pot girl to go in the chair. Any ideas would be much appreciated!
