I bought one about 2 mos ago. It does kill the weed, roots and all. You have to be really careful it's really hot flame and fires can start. DO NOT USE IT IN MULCH or in grass that has a lot of dry clippings. It's best to work in small areas and hose them down as you go. It works really good against fences- chain link that is. It's really fun though. I'm happy with mine, but it does have limited usefulness. I think it's a lot of fun to use, but a weed tool and vinegar is probably more practical.

I'm curious about whether it leaves scorch marks on concrete. Cheryl
