Since no one else has answered I will give it a try. If your fountain has a hose that the water comes out of, you could try blowing into the hose with the pump off. This may blow any debris back out of the pump. Other than that I think the only way to clean it or see if it is bad is to take the fountain apart until you can get at the pump. If it is turned on and you can feel it vibrating, then it is probably clogged. If nothing happens at all it might be shot. Is it plugged into a gfci outlet? Check if that is tripped. That normally happens with a power outage or surge. Plug something else into the outlet and see if that works.

Thanks for the response, Lee! I will try to blow out the pump and see if that does the trick. I did check the outlet to see that it was functional and it is. I have also plugged the pump into a known working power source and felt for vibration - nothing. You might be correct...it may be shot. I just hate tearing down the whole fountain to make the repair, but you gotta do what you gotta do! Thanks again!

if your pump has a non return valve them blowing wont do much good, try aiming a hose with clean water towards the pump to try and clean any debre out of the way, or try to shake teh pump about

failing that you will have to remove the pump, while its out it may be a good time to try and work out a way of putting it back in so if it happens again then you wont have to take the whole fountain appart
