It is one of those plants one must start well in advance. I usually start mine for pots in December or January. No, it's not particularly difficult, just slow.

They are pretty easy to grow, but like calliope says, they are very slow. I grew them a couple of years ago and my notes say that I started them in January. They are very pretty and worth the time!

I agree - not hard, but VERY slow!
