$50? HAHAHAHA!!!!!!

You obviously haven't been shopping in my neck of the woods lately :p. Darn stuff is getting pricey the last few years.

Every year I buy New Guinea impatiens and heliotrope in 4" containers, just plants of those two types I spend a little over $50. Add to that pots of black elephant ears and elephant ear bulbs, about $40-50 there. Then there's the assorted odds and ends, add another min. $25, but realistically another $50 (heck, I can't remember all those little things that sure do add up).

Sure do love my annual displays, though!

BTW - I do start annuals from seed, too, like vinca, petunia, browallia, lavatera, datura, and a couple other, too.

I love this question. It makes me think about how great it is wandering through the nurseries. I buy dark purple petunias every year because I love the smell at night. Beyond that, it is really hard to say because I have swapped so many seeds. For instance, I acquired Ruella, which is new to me, and I was thinking about replacing some of my 'normal' annuals with that. Plus, I have tons of Daturas, and those take up a lot of space. I love Salvia Black and Blue and may take the plunge and buy it this year. Also...if I see Verbena 'Pink Parfait' for sale anywhere-it's mine.

I'd buy, guess what, some tomato plants.
