Seed packets aren't very useful

Am I just revealing my age, or are seed packets less informative than they used to be? I seem to recall packets listing how many days to bloom from germination and length of bloom. Packets now have vauge "bloom all summer" or "blooms till frost" , hardly useful when trying to calculate plantings to bloom in sync. I remember zinnias being approx. 70 days. Can anyone recommend web sites which give specific information?

i'm very new to planting from seed. this year has been my second attempt (after a big failure last year). so far, so good...

but --- regarding seed packs. i think it depends upon the vendor. some do seem to be more informative than others. i think one of the most informative (for me) has been a brand called "botanical interests". http://www.botanicalinterests.com/

i don't have all my packs on-hand right now, as they are up at the house. but i'm sure that other people will have more suggestions.

would be interested to see other suggestions.
