I just purchased 3 Kalanchoe plants for the base of my front porch steps.

After buying and planting them...I decided to research them to learn their care.

I am reading conflicting information.

I understand that though they are in bloom now- once the blooms fade in the fall they are still alive and only the leaves will be visible?

Do the blooms return next year? I read that they do not re-bloom unless you "trick" them into re-blooming with long nights and all that- but I also read they come back every year.

How tall do they get? They are cute and pretty right now, at about 9 inches...but I would love to see pictures of mature Kalanchoe so I can anticipate their future looks and what to plant with it.

My Kalanchoe look a bit sparse all planted in a row by themselves...I was thinking of planting Geraniums with it?? Just to give it a filler look?

I like the plant now- but am not sure what to expect once the flowers fall off. I was thinking of digging it up and putting them all in one big pot to keep indoors for the Savannah, GA winter.
