I think maybe you just got a "bad batch". I have grown those, along with Limoncello from that series for the last couple of years and they have been top performers in packs and in the garden. I have not tried collecting the seeds because I have so many types that it is untelling what the result would be. On the other hand, I have had a couple of experiences with Park where the seed I purchased were not what I ordered, even though the packet had the correct label. I hate that! Anyway, I hope they perform for you this year!

Make sure those seedlings are getting plenty of light. If you just have them near a window that wont be enough. They need like 16 of direct light. Get a shop light with gro bulbs over them and see if your results are better this year.

Thank you! I actually do have them under grow lights and did last year as well. I have always had a very easy time growing petunias from seed which is why I questioned this variety. I do see that there are more popping up today. So hopefully I will have a much better year. Something that I noticed about growing from seed with the ones that benefit from a heat mat, use that as well, is that leaving them on heat for about three days and then shutting it off, they pop up almost the same day. It seems that leaving them on the mat too long delays them. I have a set up in another room with regular fluorescent lights where they seem to do better than even with the grow lights in the kitchen where I start them. Go figure! Now we just need the weather to cooperate here in Ohio so that I can move some more flats out to the garage under lights. It's getting very crowded in the kitchen. Thanks for your replies. I got really tired of pinching the flowers off of these last year! They grew really good. I liked the Fragolino & Flambe, but the Limoncello weren't too shabby either and they overwintered here in CA and are coming back strong about now.
I have more seeds and will be sowing some soon.
Yes, I agree sometimes it seems Parks is kinda chintzy with the seed quantity, but quality of plants and germination I can't complain about so.........
