Petunias-mildew

For the last couple of years some of the various petunias I have planted seem to develop a powdery mildew or fungus about half way into the season. Is there a special type that is more resistent to this problem? Thanks! (I mean WHO can't grow petunias)!!

Space them further apart when planting, as it sounds like an air-circulation problem that is creating your mildew. Better spacing also allows the plants to dry out quicker after a rain.
