The new Euphorbias aren't "second generation" Diamond Frost. They are genetics coming from other breeders to compete with Diamond Frost (from proven Winners). There are a dozen new cultivars on the market, some that compare directly with the Diamond Frost, some that have different habits, flower color and foliage color. Diamond Frost is still out there - along with it's insane royalty charges.

I was at a great nursery last week and my friend bought the Blush. The leaves had a red/purple center on them, and the blooms looked as if they might have a tiny reddish bract. Honestly, the blooms didn't look as big to me and my impression was not as good as for the original, but then, DF has to get going and growing to look its best. This one could be the same. This was my first clue that competitors have arrived. They'll have to be really good to be better than Diamond Frost as far as I'm concerned. From what I saw, Blush is not a threat.

Well, try as they might to compete, there's no competition. My nursery didn't have diamond frost yet, so I wondered if they had dropped in favor of these two wimps
