petunia pyramid???

Has anyone ever constructed a pyramid of petunias? It's made by using whiskey barrels stacked on top of each other: 3 on the bottom, 2 on top of the 3, and one at the top. Or, you can larger. I'm attempting it for the first time after seeing one at a local greenhouse, and wondered if anyone had some tips?
