Absolutely. The Hudson Valley NY has had the dryest April since 1940 I think. And so far in May we've had very insignificant rain. I'm watering like crazy, already, because I planted annuals and this is the first spring for some of my shrubs. I was looking forward to seeing what they could do, but without rain, I think I just need to keep them alive until next year.

We had red flag fire warnings a few weeks ago, and across the river there's a fairly significant forest fire going.

i'm in pa also, and i am worried to death that we are going to go into watering restrictions. i already have a plan formulated in my head to reuse bathwater for my plants if it comes to that!
