Hi, as for your question to space them out, I don't space mine, I just let them go where they may. Last year I planted them in May and as I re call I had my 1st bloom right around the 5th of July. I remember cuz I had DD baby shower on the 9th and was hoping there would be a lot for show. There may have been some sooner tucked way inside the huge mass of vine (I planted 5 packs in a 3'long bed and every seed germinated, I had a ton) but the one I saw was close to the first part of July. After that I saw them way up until frost. Mine re seeded too, I see a few seedlings in that bed and I didn't plant them there this year. That's odd here in Montana.

You will enjoy them tho, and I bet this isn't your last year for glories.

Thanks for your reply! So you do think they will be ok even being so very close together like that? Some of them are almost on top of each other, so that's why I was worried! But if they'll be ok, then that's even better.

Just so I can get a better idea for when these will flower.. Did you sow yours in the beginning, middle, or end of May (if you can remember)? Thanks again!

Morning glories don't transplant well at all....nor do they do well in a hanging basket....because they grow up and won't trail but will grow up the wires of the basket.
They are fine....just leave them.
When planting morning glories it is best to space out the seed so you don't have to space the plants.

I planted the same exact seeds about 2.5 weeks ago!! Although, I planted mine directly into a hanging basket b/c on the packet it says "Their compact habit makes neat baskets and tidy ground covers." I guess we will see if that is true.

I did mine (2 kinds) using the wintersow method...that is springsow to be more exact....
I transplanted them from container to ground at the same stage yours are in now. They are doing well and on their 1st set of true leaves :D
