My gut feeling is the morning glory will overtake the black eye susan vine. The black eyed susan vine just seems more delicate and not as vining. However I am growing it for the first time this year so don't have alot of experience with it. I do however have experience with MG vine and know that it can get overly agressive.....

i agree with lynne....morning glories are much more vigorous....i wouldnt grow them together on one post

A few years ago I planted black eye susan on one side of the arbor and morning glory on the other. They looked nice for most of the summer, but I never really got the black eye susan up the arbor (mostly due to laziness) and it stopped flowering abruptly at the end of August (didn't use any fertilizer). Personally I thought it looked beautiful for a few months.

In my opinion, black eye susan vine does better in a hanging basket than used as a climber.

If you have never tried moon flower vine it is a must, I love it with morning glories.
