In the fall, I planted "polar" pansies along a garden wall. They love the cooler weather and bloomed until January's bitter cold. As promised, they came to life again in March and are currently blooming profusely. I always plant cascading verbena and petunias on the wall, which means digging up the pansies. What to do with the pansies? Should I bother to replant them somewhere else and hope for a few more weeks of color? As soon as the days get warmer, they will stop blooming. Should I consider them finished, discard them and start over with new plants in the fall? Has anyone else had experience with these cheerful cold weather flowers?
