I just remembered that one year I ordered a grandiflora mixed seed package. All the other flowers were like the grandifloras in the catalogue but one had an absolutely huge flower--so big it was actually ugly. Since it was only one of a package of 150 seeds I figured it was an experamental seed that got mixed up with the rest of my seeds. If the 2 mentioned above aren't yours maybe that's what happened to you too.

I figured that I received a misplaced seed.
I wanted to know the name/type so that I could possibly order more, if it doesn't come true with the seeds that I'm going to collect from it.
I think that this is one of the prettiest and most fragrant petunias that I've had.
I have been searching the net all night trying to find other pics that are similar, with no luck.

I've never seen anything quite like it and I've seen a gazillion of them over the years. You know petunias are easy to start from cuttings, don't you? I think I'd keep that flower's genetics perpetuated.

I have already taken 1 cutting so far, when I planted it in the pot. I do plan on taking plenty of cuttings this year. I would like to have a whole section of these next year. :) I also plan on starting some from seeds to see if the next generation is similar.
