Hi linnea, I've not had your specific problem, but I do notice there is a PEST & DISEASES forum here on the gardenweb, if you've got the time to check it out there, there will be ideas for all sorts of pests besides bugs, like deer, burrowing animals and such. One poster said dried blood (I think she may have been talking blood meal?) worked, and another used the neighbors' dog hair. Another was to dump human urine at the entrance to their burrow, if you know where that is. Good Luck!

Blood meal works...but you have to scatter it about every 4 days...more often if it rains...
Cat fur doesn't work, fox urine doesn't work, human urine doesn't work, human hair doean't work, moth balls don't work,...
Blood meal works....blood meal is cheap but you ahve to re apply often...
Owls work too....but you have to stand outside on a moonlit night in January and call them....and the neighbors are likely to call the loony bin to come get you!
